Try Healthy Fresh Fish on your next BBQ
With the summer here it is now time to dust off those rusty BBQ’s and get cooking. Eating outdoors is a real pleasure, as it is often accompanied by good association from friends and family. The weather is generally warm and pleasant, since we wouldn’t be cooking outside otherwise. Also, there is usually music and a few beers too. Since we are all getting better educated with regards our health, the BBQ perhaps needs a bit of a re think. Why? Well just think of the typical food cooked and eaten. It is burgers, sausages, steaks, chops, ribs, plus other high fat food. If we are undertaking a change of eating habits and are looking to eat healthier foods, then there is no need to throw out the BBQ, here’s why.
There are plenty of healthy food which we can consume which work well with being cooked on a barbecue, and one food I am thinking off which is absolutely delicious is fresh fish. There is so much variety of fresh fish and other seafood that we are spoilt for choice as to what to have. It is impossible to get bored with the variety of fresh fish and also the different ways in which we are able to cook it and enjoy. I am going to be offering up a range of recipes and methods to cook and prepare fresh fish and seafood so that your family BBQ will be one that is also a healthy BBQ.
The Health benefits of eating cooked fish are that the meat is good protein and many fish such as Salmon are high in omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids. As well as this fresh fish is low in fat and a very lean meal to eat, serving up a variety of fish dishes is a great way of improving both your own health and those whom you cook for.
